Location

Well if you ever plan on going to Japan for a holiday as a tourist then people are sure to ask you where you were born. If you ever plan on inviting someone to your house you are going to need to know what to say. So in this page you're going to learn how to say which country you were born in and where you live. I guess we'll start with where you live, so let's start with your suburb location.

Saying where you live in Japanese is actually quite easy assuming you know which suburb you live in. The first step to saying which suburb you live on is to find out which suburb you live in if you don't already know. Then you start of your sentence by saying that suburb for instance Gordon then you simply follow that with ni sunade imasu, so you would say Gordon ni sunade imasu.

Now for the country you were born in, just like when saying the suburb you live in you will need to know which country you were born in. So like saying your name or age you start of with watashi wa or boku wa if you don't know which you start with then you should go read the about me page before this one. So after you say your boku or watashi line you then say the country you are from which lets assume is Australia so I would say boku wa Osustoraria then afterwards you would say jin desu. It is very important to say the jin if you don't then you are saying that you are that country. Below are some of the countries you may be from in Japanese.
